Welcome
Welcome to the Cripps world of photography and photo-editing! This site was uploaded on April 16, 2012 and will be a "spare time" project for a while. Several galleries have been posted and there is much more to come.
I want to accomplish two things with this site: First of all, I wish to display some of my photographic work in an easy and convenient format for interested Mojo Foxx clients. I did not want to add this large amount of content to the www.mojofoxx.com site since photography is not the main part of the business. Secondly, this site will serve as a demo site for photographers who might be interested in Mojo Foxx setting up something similar for them.
I take a lot of photos. Some times I am trying to capture something unique or kewl. I'll take time to adjust and tweak all the camera settings to get the photo just the way I want it. However, that is usually not the case...especially when shooting people. I prefer stealth photos over poses. Therefore, most of the time, I am shooting quickly without time to worry about lighting or background clutter. Most of the photos on this site are not the "set up type" where you wait for the sun to give you proper lighting, find the proper angle, set up the tripod, adjust the white balance, play with ISO, aperture setting, etc. Of course, some of them are...but I don't photograph for Hallmark or do Wedding Photography. Instead, I go for the casual and...hopefully, the unique.
I have included a section on "Tricks and Techniques." I will probably expand this section over time. I have used a variety of techniques over the years in web site construction. I especially like working with vintage, B & W, and grunge styles. In fact, I have been given web work just because of this specialization. Though you probably won't get me to divulge all of my "secrets," I don't mind sharing some of the basics.
All of the photos on this site are compressed to save space. If you have a special need for one of the photos, feel free to write me. I may even give you a high-resolution copy. Please be kind enough to not steal them and post them elsewhere. Some of these photos have been licensed to individuals and companies and even my use of them (yes, even though I shot them) is by kind permission of my clients.
